Terese inherited an old German single lens reflex from her father. Having no idea how to work a 35 mm camera, she signed up for Photography 101 during her first semester at Wayne State University, and quickly discovered a passion for black and white photography. Through the years, she moved from black and white film to color film - from 2¼, to 35mm and then finally - to digital. Seeing the large luscious images on her computer monitor really excited Terese - the vibrant colors, the richness. Every image held a world of little tiny cubes of color. By touching the image with her cursor, she could make it deeper, darker, brighter, or change the colors from blue to magenta to green to golden buff. Soon, Terese realized that she could transpose a photograph into a Dali-like melting timepiece or a Renoir-ish boating party. She could create Rococo clouds with the click of a mouse. Suddenly, her creative world of photography turned into an endless digital universe. Now, Terese often spends hours with one image - turning and churning and clicking and tweaking until every pixel is perfectly in its place. Now, her artistic world is endless. www.villagedwellers.com
